📘 Our History
Helping Kids and Youths Succeed Incorporated was founded by Nadia Taylor, a dedicated teacher, tutor, and passionate advocate for youth empowerment. Her life is a testament to what education, love, and community support can achieve.
Nadia’s journey reflects resilience, gratitude, and the transformative power of mentorship. She proudly completed secondary school and graduated from three tertiary institutions, earning:
A High School Diploma
A Diploma in Business Administration
An Associate of Science Degree in Business Studies
A Bachelor of Education Degree in Business Education
Nadia developed her passion for education and helping kids and youths succeed through her own lived experiences. This is how she developed her passion to help kids and youths succeed and why she became a teacher. At seven years old, a teacher took her into her home and helped her prepare for the GSAT exam, opening the door for her to attend high school. At fourteen, a pastor and his wife welcomed her into their home. Although that situation eventually turned negative, it opened the door for her to receive even more support.
At fifteen, a teacher from her high school took her into her home and guided her through her high school years. When she later had to leave that home, she stayed at a girls’ shelter, where she worked hard to complete high school. After leaving the shelter, her guidance counselor took her into her home, and it was there that she completed high school. She graduated from high school with seven Caribbean Examinations Council (CSEC) courses and earned her high school diploma.
At seventeen, a lawyer continued this chain of kindness by supporting her until she secured her first job. By eighteen, she was able to live independently.
These acts of love shaped her passion for helping kids and youths succeed and inspired her to become a teacher. They taught her that education, stability, and genuine care for children and youths can break cycles of poverty, open doors, and transform futures.
🌱 From Passion to Purpose
In 2020, Nadia turned her passion into action by opening a small tutoring business called Help Kids and Youths Succeed. What began as a personal mission quickly grew into a trusted community resource. Students improved, families saw results, and the impact became undeniable.
As the need grew—especially among families who could not afford tutoring—Nadia knew it was time to expand the vision. This led to the official registration of Helping Kids and Youths Succeed Incorporated as a non‑profit organization.
Today, we are committed to reaching more students, removing financial barriers, and ensuring every child has access to quality educational support. Our work continues a legacy built on compassion, empowerment, and the belief that every child can rise when someone believes in them
